Yellow Star Gejayan Hotel

It's very quiet and clean. The food was very good and very affordable. The staff was very helpful. The hotel also accommodated my decision to actually arrive two days later than my booking because of a cancelled flight (due to a typhoon) that I had to reschedule

The hotel wifi was very unreliable. But I think it's also a dead spot for data signal, because both my own mobile wifi device and my phone had a hard time keeping its connection; they always had 2 bars or less, and mostly no bars.

I originally planned to stay only 3 nights, but I ended up extending my stay for 2 more nights because of how comfortable and pleasant it was. The bed was very clean, and the bathroom was spotless as well. The staff are amazing—from the security team to the reception and the housekeeping staff—everyone was kind and helpful.

One small area for improvement is the shower: there’s a little bit of rust on the showerhead and the curtain could be refreshed. If that’s fixed, everything would be absolutely perfect.

Staff—they are all lovely. We requested an iron, hairdryer, and so on. Everything was providededietly without extra charges.

i think the staff were really lovely however cleanliness could have been better. the curtain in the bathroom has not been washed, there are molds overall. the showerhead is also very dirty. pls clean it.

Centrally located with many eating places around. Staff are friendly and very accommodating. The drainage was blocked and it was fixed immediately. Bed is comfy.

The wifi connection is weak and sometimes lost. The towel needs to be changed to new ones I think.

Its location is near to 2 universities. The front desk staff is super friendly and helpful. Two convenient stores are just around the corner. A standard business hotel which has a good value for money.

The bathroom setting is standard, but the sink is a little clogged. It is hard to keep the bathroom floor dry with the half-open shower setting. The window blind inside the shower section is a little moldy. The picture of the hotel outlook is a little romantically unrealistic after being photoshopped, but it doesn't matter.

The entrance area looks dated and shabby and needs refreshing. The front desk staff were polite and helpful, but they don't look too enthusiastic about their jobs.

The cleanliness of the bathroom - you can see that the curtain was full of moss. Luckily the bed was okay.The hotel sign is too small, the taxi often missed out the location and we need to have a long turn.

The location is near to anywhere

The bedsheets bit dusty and the hot shower on our last day is not worked.

Friendly staff, location, buffet breakfast was quite good, willing to organise party and live band for quests. Staff are very attentive and help us with our daily needs. The roof top is nice and trendy concept.

Door lock is not proper. The room needs renovation and maintenance. There is only one lift and so we have to wait sometimes for our turn to take lifts.

Comfortable room, good shower. Soundproof walls. Free parking. Great location, anywhere in jogja is easily accessible from here

Very neat and clean hotel, it earns 4 stars.I've traveled a lot in Asia, so I can compare with other hotels.Large hotel with 7 floors and rooftop.Special bathroom with glass walls.The rooftop for breakfast and dining is lovely and spacious. Continental rice with meat/bami breakfast, also western toast.Only toasts, fruits and cornflakes are suitable for vegetarians, but it's fine.

Aircondition is small and has less capacity or it must be serviced.Please provide a lock at the bathroom door, it feels uncomfortable when you are with a family.

Bath mats and towels were old but it is a small improvement to be considered. Water bottles were limited to two per day, but alternative refilling option was available at the lobby area.

The location is strategic, the wifi is very good.

If I were to compare it with my other hotel with slightly cheaper price, the facilities, the room size are worse. The breakfast is not variative, for example, same chicken menu only for four morning consecutive morning with different sauces.

The door chain in my room was broken. Dunno why they overlooked the simple safety for their clients. Called the staff, thank god they repair it immediately.Room and bathroom could use a lot more cleaning. Felt really murky throughout the stay.The AC was really noisy.

Close to legendary street food like Gudek Bu Tekluk. It is said that there’s a very old lady selling “Gudeg Porridge” for breakfast every morning (5 am) too within walking distance to the hotel.
